Your Tasks

Lead the cross-functional development of new insurance products or adaptations of existing ones aligning all internal stakeholders (sales, underwriting, pricing, operations, claims, cybersecurity, finance) during product lifecycle.
Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and integration tasks for each department.
Define and drive the implementation of the pricing logic, quote-bind-issue flows and risk assessment flows in collaboration with UW and Tech. Translate business and product needs into clear requirements for tech/UX teams.
Coordinate the creation of product documents (AVBs, IPID, proposal forms) and ensure compliance with local regulations.
Contribute to the definition and maintenance of underwriting guidelines and risk appetite in collaboration with the UW team.
Serve as the main contact for insurers on product terms, pricing, claims processes, and reporting (bordereaux, loss ratios, KPIs).
Support internal teams (Sales, Operations, Tech, Marketing) with product knowledge.

Your profile

Experience: 5+ years of experience in insurance product development, underwriting, or MGA product operations. Experience working with or within insurers, MGAs, or insurtechs
Understanding of Insurance: Solid understanding of insurance products (preferably Cyber, Tech, P&C or specialty lines). Familiar with regulatory and contractual documents (e.g. AVBs, IPIDs)
Data Analysis: Strong ability to analyze market data, customer feedback, and product performance metrics to inform product development and strategy. Proficiency in using Excel (Sheets), Tableau, Looker etc. for analyzing market data and product performance.
Project management: Proficient in planning, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills. Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality. Proficiency in software tools used in product management: Jira, Asana etc.
Language skills: Proficiency in German and English
Bonus: Experience with quote-bind-issue tools, APIs, or insurance platforms

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders, internally and externally with insurance and distribution partners.
Leadership: Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate cross-functional teams towards common goals.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during product development and implementation.
Strategic Thinking: Capacity to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop strategies to capitalize on these opportunities.
Decision Making: Ability to make informed decisions, often with limited information, and take accountability for the outcomes.
